	Magic Online Tab

The Magic Online tab shows the room you're in and lets you move from room to room. You can click the Magic Online tab from anywhere in Magic Online to see the room you're in.

The image below shows the Main Room, which is the room you usually see first when you log on to Magic Online. The room name is shown on the bar just under the tabs.

The Magic Online tab has three different areas:

The room display shows what's in the room.

The message area displays information about the Magic Online community and lets you chat with other players in some rooms.

The link bar has buttons that help you navigate Magic Online.

Room Display
The room display shows the room you're in. Some rooms, like the Main Room, have buttons that take you to other rooms. A few rooms are set up for players to find information about the Magic Online community and learn about the Magic game. Finally, there are the rooms where players get together to play.

Message Area
Every room has an area at the bottom that displays messages for Magic Online players. You'll see messages about everything from Magic Online developments to upcoming tournaments. It's a good idea to pay attention to what's in the message area each time you log on to Magic Online.

If you see a player list to the right of the message area, you can chat with other players in the room. Anything you enter in the chat field will appear in that room's message area. See Chat for more information.

Link Bar
The toolbar on the left side of the Magic Online tab has buttons that open different windows, navigate the Magic Online rooms, open help files, and link to related web sites.

	Click this button to open the Settings window where you can change your Magic Online preferences.
	Click this button to open the My Games window where you can check your Magic Online ratings, review games you've played, and restore adjourned games.
	Click the home button to return to the Main Room.
	Click the back button to return to the last room you were in. This button will appear after you move into a room other than the one you were in when you logged on.
	Click the log off button to disconnect from Magic Online.
	Click the help button to get information about the room you're in.
	Click these buttons to go to different Magic-related websites.
